Our Greatest Litsperation Challenge is........... Our Second Challenge
We chose this because we thought we put the most effort and consideration into this post and was probably the mist evenly work distributed project. We also think that this project was the most fun to do. We think this is our best challenge because we thought that the choices and the collaboration we got to experience in this challenge. One thing to improve on would have been to add pictures but other than that we think we did a great job on this project.

Litspiration Project 3
This is our litspiration project #3. For this project we had to create a project that represented the theme of the novel. For this novel we thought the theme of it was inequality, because you read so much about how Matt is treated so poorly because he's a clone, you also see that a lot of the other characters get treated unfairly because either they are slaves, or they are innocent people that are turned into eejits. Our first four images show how four different groups/people are treated unfairly, and in the last one it shows how all of them can be brought together.
Makenna
This first image shows how Matt is treated when he first came to the big house and when they first discovered that Matt was a clone.
Matt. F
This second image shows how the boys from the plankton factory get treated like slaves because they are either orphans or their parents don't have enough money to care for them.
Sam
This third images shows how El Patrón treats everyone so unfairly because he thinks he can rule over everyone.
Phil
This fourth image shows how the eejits get treated so poorly because when they die all anyone ever did was plow their bodies into the ground for fertilizer.
Matt. D
This last image shows everyone together, with the different levels of people from the book. We thought it should look like this because the book was somewhat like hierarchy.

Litspiration Challenge #2 Character Playlist
Hey everyone,
This is our second litspiration challenge where we had to create a playlist for a character of our choice, but the character couldn't be Matt. We hope you enjoy and please check out some of the songs!
Thanks,
The Scorp Corp.
Stronger - Kanye West - Phil
I think that El Patron would have this on his iPod because the meaning of this song is that there is a lot of things that life throws at you and you have conquer them to then it will “make you stronger”. Around the time that it was El patron and Matt’s birthday was happing he was talking about how all of his siblings died when he was younger and he was the last one alive of his family like a cat nine life’s There were a lot of things that bad things that happened to El Parton and he perceived and it made him stronger.
See You In My Nightmare - Kanye West - Phil
I chose this song because this song is very twisted and so is El Patron. In the song the musician said he was “cold” so he was basically sick like talking to himself and he obsessing about things that are in the past that don’t matter. When Tam Lin and Matt are at the Oasis they are talking about how El Patron was like a twisted tree witch the musician was singing about him like he was a person that is mentally sick
Re Educate - Matt. D
Band: Rise Against
This song is about how a man started in a poor town and goes against the government and becomes very powerful. I think this perfectly represents El Patron as he started in a poor town and got powerful and went against America. (The power) The song also talks about how people work and are enslaved, like the people that work for El Patron and the eejits. This line in the song I believe is very powerful because it just sounds like El Patron because he is a drug lord, a thief and a lair and it sounds almost like something he would say when his empire was rising.
“We toss and turn but don't sleep”
“Each breath we take makes us thieves”
“Like causes without rebels”
“Just talk but promise nothing else”
Rusted from the Rain - Matt. D
Band: Billy Talent
This song is about a man who is very poor and becomes very powerful and rich just like El Patron. At El Patrons birthday he says to matt “you can tell how much someone loves you by the size of the present” and that shows the greediness he has and the song is basically about that. In the end of the song its about how the man with power gets to greedy and looses everything, I wonder if in the end of this book El Patron will become so mean and greedy that he looses everything just like this song describes. The basic message that this song sends is to not take what you have for granted and to give to others and my guess is that the overall message at the end of the book will be similar.
Hurt - Matt. F
By: Johnny Cash
This song represents his age and his struggles in life like how in the book he said how he was the only one of his siblings to survive and how he had to go through tough times in his life to get to is over ruling power and age. It also shows how he created matt as a clone to take over for him when he died and I think it does a really good job at describing how he remembers his hardships in life. I also thought it was a good song for his age and fits his personality of a twisted man
Evidence: on page 101 it says that his 2 sisters caught typhoid and died in the same hour. And his other 5 brother died form: 2 drowned 1 burst a appendix and 2 got beat too death by the police
It talks about his age lots in the book and its quite obvious that he wants matt to take over for him when he dies
Tam Lin talks about how El patron was a twisted tree over shadowing people which also ties into the song well
Forever young - Matt. F
By: Jay-z
This song shows how el patron as lived for so long and continues to live the young life that he used to have.
It also shows that although he is 143 he is able to live the life he wants with the money and power he has. He is a very energetic character that wishes to live as long and prosperous as he possibly can.
Evidence: During the book we see El Patron age from 140 to 146.
Also during the his birthday party he said after talking about how his siblings all died ( direct quotes from page 101 )
“ I outlived them all as i outlived all my enemies. Of course, i can always make more enemies.” and the second quote is, “ You could say i’m a cat with nine lives. As long as there’s mice to catch, I intend to keep on hunting.” It also mentions that thanks to doctors he was able to achieve these things.
Tech n9ne am I a psycho? (Feat. B.o.B. and Hopsin) *clean version* - Sam
This song represents El Patron for a couple reasons, but first let me say, listen to the clean version there are a couple bad words, but other than that its a good song. Now I believe that this song would be on El Patrons music list because for starters the 3 people who created the songs (or took part) in the song have been deemed crazy, or mentally unstable in our society and media. Now the psychology behind this is that El Patron is psychotic and twisted as demonstrated in his party, and other areas of the book. El Patron would enjoy this song because it gives him something to relate to, he sees himself in the song, he sees himself as the main part of the song, basically being psychotic.
Volbeat, The Hangman's body count - Sam
I chose this song because his song presents a story that I believe El Patron fits the other role in the song. THe song basically portrays a man waiting his turn to be hung by the hangman. and how the hangman has killed many people, and he was about to kill another. And I think that that role portrays El Patron because his mental form that everyone portrays him to be a very scary man, with power money control. But his character traits makes him as the man who would do anything for more money, control, power. Even if it includes murder. In this song I believe that the person singing/describing the situations represents someone who crossed El Patron, and he is angry and El Patron is putting him to the death or worse. And the man is describing his feeling towards what will come, and what it seems like will happen. The hangman being El Patron, and how he is a scary and menacing person to cross. I also believe while this is a song to describe him it also seems like a song that would be on his music list, because it is a dark and twisted song and he seems like he would enjoy that sort of song.
The Phoenix – Fall Out Boy - Makenna
I thought the song The Phoenix really connected to the character El Patrón because in the song it talks a lot out how people would always try to bring you down but in the end you will always win. “You are a brick tied to me that's dragging me down
Strike a match and I'll burn you to the ground”. I thought this represents El Patrón the best because either people are trying to escape from him but in the end fail and have to become a prisoner in the house or they try to bring him down because he’s on the top and because if they bring him down they can become just as powerful.
The song also mentions in the chorus, “I'm gonna change you like a remix
Then I'll raise you like a phoenix”, this reminded me about how after someone disobeyed El Patrón he would change them in an eejit, also he altered peoples’ minds to become workers. He was basically “changing them like a remix”. Then you hear the “I’ll raise you like a phoenix” which reminded me about how if he took you in our let you live with him, it would be like him training or raising you like one of his own; to become a very powerful person.
Gold On the Ceiling – The Black Keys – Makenna http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OAdTbE9LAtY
I thought Gold on the Ceiling really connected with El Patrón because he loves his riches.
“They wanna get my
Gold on the ceiling
I ain’t blind
Just a matter of time
Before you steal it
It’s alright
Ain’t no guard in my house”
I thought this really represented him because he had so many enemies that we always trying to be more than he was. As it says in the song “they wanna get my, gold on the ceiling”, the gold represents all of his riches and the ceiling represents the underground collection that he had, both very hard to get to, too. “It’s alright, ain’t no guard in my house”, this line represented how El Patrón wasn’t afraid of anyone, and even if someone tried to bring him down, or try to steel his riches. El Patrón wasn’t exactly surrounded by bodyguards everyday; and if something went wrong he usually got them to deal with it, but he still had everything under control. He was forever in power.
